Copywrong Lemmy Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms apply to this lemmy.copywrong.net instance, they do not apply to the Lemmy and Lemmy-UI software as they are both licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License Version 3.

2. Grant

Copywrong grants you permission to use this instance subject to all terms and conditions of this document. Your usage of this instance indicates your acceptance to these terms.

3. Instance Rules

You must follow the Instance Rules when using this instance.

4. NSFW content

As Lemmy is platform where people can post user-generated content. There is a non-zero possibility that such content may be unsuitable for younger audiences or unsafe for work.

Before posting, there is an option to set your post as NSFW. You must set such content as NSFW. If you are under the legal age in your territory, you shall refrain from participating in posts or communities set as NSFW.

5. Submissions

You grant Copywrong permission to publicly display or publicly perform anything you post on this instance.

6. Privacy Policy

Copywrong only collects information that is necessary for the function of the Lemmy and Lemmy-UI software.

Cookies are used only to remember if you have logged to this instance before.

Usernames and Display names do not have to be your real name, they can be completely made up.

Email addresses and passwords are not displayed to anyone and passwords are stored with a hash+salt algorithm.

Anything you entered in your Bio is displayed to other people. You grant Copywrong permission to publicly display any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) you entered in your Bio.

Anything you post is displayed to other people. You grant Copywrong permission to publicly display any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) you entered your posts.

You may delete your account at any time by going to your account settings and clicking on the “Delete Account” button.

7. Disclaimer of Warranty

Copywrong provides this instance on an “as is” basis, without warranty of any kind, either, expressed, implied, or statutory, including, without limitation, warranties that this instance is free of defects, merchantable, fit for a particular purpose or non-infringing. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of this instance is with you.

8. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances and under no legal theory, whether tort (including negligence), contract, or otherwise, shall Copywrong be liable to you for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any character including, without limitation, damages for lost profits, loss of goodwill, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any and all other commercial damages or losses, even if such party shall have been informed of the possibility of such damages. Copywrong is not responsible for anything that other users post on this instance.
